Karrueche x ColourPop & Mikasa Beauty Reviews (Discount Code inside!)✨

Hey guys! So today I'm bringing you a review on a new brand of brushes that I have recently started using, and my opinion on the Karrueche x ColourPop collaboration. I am slowly starting to dabble in makeup and beauty more and more everyday and I think I'm getting to where I'm learning more about the do's and don't's of makeup; including how it should feel, what it should look like, etc.

I first heard of Mikasa Beauty when they reached out to me from seeing my Instagram account. I felt so honored to be considered as one of their brand affiliates. After purchasing my first Techni Brush and their signature Lemon Drop sponge, I automatically knew I wanted more. I purchased the Techni Oval O6 Brush for my foundation because I've seen multiple people say that brushes are better than sponges for foundation application. So I was super excited to try it out! I got my package right before I left to go to the J. Cole concert that I had mentioned in my previous post. I applied my makeup for the concert with that brush and the lemon drop sponge and it came out so flawless! The Techni brush is so soft and provides even coverage. It's not spotty or patchy and it is probably the best brush I have used for makeup application.

The Lemon Drop sponge is soooo amazing. I use mine by dampening it before using it to spread my concealer. As soon as I squeezed out the excess water I knew that this would be my new favorite sponge. For one, it got so big and soft. Applying it to my face just felt so smooth. It made my concealer application so easy and it spread just fine, so with that being said, I am a huge fan of Mikasa Beauty products thus far, and YES I plan to purchase more!

Now, on to the Karrueche x ColourPop collaboration. When I first got this product I was super excited to be expanding my make up collection. The packaging was so beyond cute and it matched the name so well, "Fem Rosa." It is decorated with red and burgundy colored roses once you open the simple pink packaging. I've had it for about a week but I was so busy I didn't have time to test it out, once I finally did (yesterday) I instantly fell in love. The blush went so well with my skin tone. It does not look too pink, but it is pigmented enough just to add a bit of color to my face. But the HIGHLIGHT, THE HIGHLIGHT IS AMAZING!! I swear, as soon as I applied the highlight to my cheek I was like "giiiiirl! Karreuche you did ya thing girl!" I swear I was talking to myself in the mirror. The highlight is so rich and it applies to your face so easily, like I cannot describe how much in love I am with it. Same with the eye shadow, it is so rich and pigmented. So far, every shade I have used (Ladylike, Empress, and Damsel) goes so well with my skin tone, I am not disappointed. The lipsticks come in 3, there's two ultra satin lips and one ultra glossy lip, Contessa, Mrs. and Darling. I've used ColourPop before but I have never purchased any of the ultra satin lips but I am pleasantly surprised. It has long lasting wear and feels so smoothly. However, I am not sure how I feel about the color of the color Mrs. It is like an orange-pink color and it is really bright for my skin tone. I'm not sure if it was the eye shadow in which I tried to pair it with, but I am going to give it another shot.

All in all I can say that I am very happy with all of the purchases that I have made with my make up lately. I really enjoy pretty much everything that I bought and I am excited for more stuff from these two brands. My personal goal in make up is to wear it once or twice a week while slowly improving my skills. Colourpop is a brand that I have been ordering from for a while and they never disappoint with their shipments. Mikasa, as I stated before is a brand that I just recently learned about an I am beyond happy with my purchases from their company. If you guys are interested in purchasing, you can used my discount code: TAYHOWELL25 for 25% off your purchases. I hope you enjoy!
